ceramic sculptures

  • Each of these ceramic pieces is created from a  slab of clay. ​ The slab is cut into shapes. Textures are pressed into the moist clay for the sides, with the top and bottom left flat; it is assembled then dried and fired.   It is glazed and fired again. Pieces are chosen to complete a sculpture. They are in the Mid-Century Modern theme.

  • Each of these ceramic pieces is created from a slab of clay. ​ The slab is cut into shapes. Textures are pressed into the moist clay; it is assembled then dried and fired.   It is glazed and fired again.

  • For the Large Shrines, a wooden structure is built and then tiled with individual pieces. Smaller sculptures are created that have meaning for that shrine.

  • For the Momento Containers, the metal trophy topper dictates how the container will be created.

  • You are encouraged to add personal items to each of these to make them your own.
